Loy Krathong

A Night of Light and Renewal

Loy Krathong is a cherished Thai festival celebrated on the full moon of the twelfth lunar month, usually in November.

On this evening, people float krathongs made from banana leaves, flowers, a candle, and incense to honour Phra Mae Khongkha, the Goddess of Water, giving thanks and asking forgiveness for the impact on waterways.

As the krathong drifts away, it symbolises letting go of worries and welcoming renewal, making Loy Krathong a meaningful moment of tradition, reflection, and togetherness.
