Ganesha Shrine-Huai Khwang
Head to the busy Huai Khwang intersection to find one of Thailand’s most respected shrines to the Hindu god, Lord Ganesha. As one of the most well-known and worshiped Hindu gods, the Elephant God is known for being the god of accomplishment, wisdom and wealth, and the destroyer of obstacles. The shrine is open every day; however, Tuesdays and Thursdays are believed to be the best days for worship. Lord Ganesha’s most-loved offerings are: modak, a sweet dumpling which is said to be Ganesh's favorite delicacy; laddu, which are round balls made of gram flour, ghee and sugar; coconut; Durva grass; and bananas.
