The Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles is housed in a centuries-old building. This museum is the first dedicated textile conservation laboratory in Thailand. It was remodeled under His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, becoming a blend of ancient architecture and modern technology.

The Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles collects, preserves and displays textiles from all parts of Southeast Asia, East Asia and South Asia, spanning different historical periods. It also functions as a center for education in the textile industry, especially pertaining to the Royal Court.
